Fullmetal Alchemist
A tale of 2 brothers named Edward and Alphonse Elric who use Alchemy in their daily lives. With Alchemy there are rules, the first rule is you need equivalent exchange every time it is used. But there are also forbidden Alchemy such as creating a human soul.
Tricia Elric their mother falls ill and passes away and the young brothers feel like the have no choice but to use their extreme talents to bring her back to life. They use the forbidden Alchemy that has never been done before to try to bring her back, but they find out quickly why it is impossible to do as they fail miserably. Once they fail the equivalent exchange was Edwards right arm and left leg, and Alphonse get the worst of it loosing his whole body. As a last resort to save Al, Edwards puts Al’s soul into a suit of armor.
Now the boys search for a legendary object called the Philosophers Stone to get their bodies back into perfect forms once again.
