The Search Begins
With
his first case solved Yusuke gets his second assignment, he
is to learn the technique of a psychic named Genkai
who is holding a tournament to hand down her gifts to anyone
or thing worthy. Yusuke also learns that
there is a "human hunter" named Rando who is entering
the tournament in disguise and if he gets Genkai's powers
it would be dangerous for the human and spirit world. At the
tournament Yusuke runs into his old rival Kuwabara who is
there to learn how to turn his spritual awareness down but
gets roped into the tournament himself.
The
first round of the tournament is drawing lots and when both
Yusuke and Kuwabara pass then its on to the second leg of
the tournament. The second stage of the contest is started
to test the remaining contestants spirit abilites in arcade
style games. The top twenty contests are are sorted out and
are lead to a forest where the only rule is to get to the
other side in two hours, if they can. During the trek throught
he forest Yuske runs into a man-bat creature named Baldok
and he has to get through him and to the Genkai before the
time is up.
