Gurren Lagann – Episode 1: Bust Through the Heavens with Your Drill!!

A young boy named Simon spends most of his day drilling underground where his village is and is happy doing it for the small tresures he finds until he finds a drill-shaped key called a Core Drill. Not only that he finds a Robot Mech head that he keeps a secret while digging but lets his only friend Kamina, who he calls Bro know about it.

Kamina is a strong headed man who seeks adventure and wants to reach the surface where his father is. He is determind to go against the village and see the blue sky that his father once reached.

An earth quake happens, destroying the village and dropping down another Mech, called a Gunman. With a young girl who is attacking it with a high powered sniper rifle named Yoko.

Simon must destroy the this evil Gunman with his own Mech with the help of his 2 new friends Kamina and Yoko.
